Our Bedroom Makeover

Well prim gals, this is the color that our bedroom WAS, UH HUH! No joke! Talk about wanting to scream everyday. Pink is NOT one of my favorite prim colors. For a little girl, maybe, but then again, I probably wouldn't paint it this color anyway if we ever have a little girl. Okay, I know you are all wondering then why in the world was it painted that color? Was it a little girl's room? Nope. Were you crazy when you painted this room? Nope! Alright, the reason the bedroom was painted this color has to due with my husband's ex-wife and her love of odd colors and style. Let's just say that I have had a lot of work to do around our wonderful farmhouse, and yep, there is still a lot of work to keep me very busy for a very long time to come. She loved what seemed to be crayola crayon colors, as you will see in the future in other rooms in our homestead. This is certainly a little bit much for myself, but that was her and what she liked. So, when my husband came home one day from work, and well, you see what she had done to their bedroom?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!! YIKES!!! was my reaction when I first came to visit Scott when we were starting to date.

Thankfully I finally got the bedroom painted over this past Labor Day weekend. What a relief it has been to actually get excited about decorating it for us and making it reflect our lives now. I will be sharing pictures of our bedroom a little bit at a time, because I took pictures tonight and was not really very happy with them. The new color on the walls seems to be a bit different in each picture, so you will have to stay tuned as I reveal more pictures of our bedroom. I really hope you enjoy the few pictures that I have to share with you now and am looking forward to sharing more with you real soon.

So, what do all of your bedrooms look like? I would love to get some more ideas on how to make our bedroom more prim perfect. Come back again soon as I will have more pictures from the daytime to share with you which will hopefully give you a better picture of the color that I chose for us. Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings and Perfect Prims,
Stacey

I love the new color and everything looks so prim.
Great job!
Our bedroom is done in a log cabin wallpaper that I just love. I may not be in the country or in a log cabin but it sure makes me feel cozy when I got to our room!

That's a great color you chose!

Our room is painted almond cream. I'm happy with the color, but I'd love to get a new quilt for our bed and spruce things up a bit!

Can't wait to see more!

The color looks great and like all of your decorative touches. My bedroom and the rest of the apartment are pale grey with celadon green trim. Not prim, but it works with green touches. Kitchen and bathroom are white and bathroom had pink and white roses when I first moved in. Thinking of painting the kitchen and am so undecided on the color.
