Trash Pickin'
A couple of weeks ago I was driving through a small little town, near our home, on my way from school. This little town is so cute and had just had their community garage sales the weekend before, which of course I went to. On this particular day people were getting rid of things that they did not want anymore and were putting them out to be collected by their township. Pretty much anything goes when this once a year event happens. You can only imagine what people were getting rid of. Let me tell you, I have never trashed picked a day in my life. Yet, I found myself turning around for some treasures that I have put to use as yard decorations. The whole time I told myself, I can't believe I'm doing this! Yep, it was fun. There were lots of other people out doing the same. Well, without further rambling, here are the pictures of the pieces I picked up and loaded my van with. I hope you like them. :)

Wow, did you get some neat stuff!!! I really like that first tote/box. I find myself looking at piles as I go by, but have never stopped. One town near me now will fine you if you are going through trash at the curb. Hello--apparently no one wants it and it will save it from going to the landfill. My luck, I would get caught. Keep pickin-you are doing a great job!!

Stacey, you got great stuff! I love the rocking chair with the hole cut out for a pot. I always look at what people throw out on trash day.

Oh My Good Golly Miss Molly!! You found some AWESOME trash (lol). That rocking chair will be perfect with a pot of flowers sitting in it and the old keg is perfect for your front porch with a fern in it. I have a fern in mine on my front porch and it looks so cute and prim. That old wooden box...oh girl!! You really found some AWESOME stuff!! Let me know when you are going again and I will be there. You always find the neatest stuff whether it is trash pickin or going to garage sales. Yep, I am TOTALLY jealous!!

I thought about you the other day when I was Goodwilling in Norwalk...There were some great items there!

I know what you thinking, last year I was in the same situation and I found a cute chair and a table that that I have in my porch. You got great stuff!!!! I love the rocking chair you can put a pot with awesome flowers on it, and the wooden box is amazing.
